Presentation

Chalet Flocon is a spacious luxury ski-in:ski-out chalet, for 6 people, centrally located in la Falaise in Avoriaz. Being full south facing on the cliff front, the chalet benefits from a lot of mountain sunshine while still retaining tranquility, and boasts spectacular un-interrupted views from its full length picture windows and balcony. and offers a lot more privacy than most areas in Avoriaz. Close to all the resort facilities, activities, shops and restaurants and fully ski in / ski out!

CHALET LAYOUT
3-bedroom, 3 ½ bathroom private ski chalet arranged over 2 floors plus a mezzanine. Private ground floor entrance direct from the piste, just 100 meters from the bakery for freshly baked croissants and baguettes, the ski hire shop and supermarket.

GROUND FLOOR
Store your skis in the ski rack in the private indoor secured and heated porch, and warm your boots and gloves on the boot heaters, ensuring dry and toasty feet and hands every day.
Enter through to the main living area with panoramic mountain views. There is an exceptionally well equipped kitchen complete with BOSCH oven, microwave, warming drawer and 4 plate induction hob. There is a full size American fridge freezer complete with chilled filtered water, ice maker and wine cave. The large dining table at one end can accommodate up to 8 guests, the living room is comfortable and cozy with quality furnishings and a discretely wall mounted 43" SMART TV. The perfect environment for chilling after skiing, or leaving the kids for a movie night and exploring Avoriaz’s best restaurants and bars just a short stroll from the front door. There is also a modern stylish bathroom equipped with a power shower, basin and toilet.

MEZZANINE
One floor up, is the mezzanine bedroom for two people offering two comfortable single beds with thick proper mattresses, which can be pushed together or kept separate as required, and equipped with fluffy down duvets, pillows and superfine Egyptian cotton bedding, wardrobe and storage.

GROUND FLOOR
Heading downstairs from the ground floor are 2 further bedrooms, one ensuite double bedroom complete with large 160cm double bed with proper deep pocket sprung mattress, down bedding and Egyptian cotton linen and fluffy towels, a further 43" SMART TV, ample storage and luxury en-suite shower room with power shower, toilet and basin and a further bunk bedroom, both of which enjoy spectacular mountain views. There is a further separate toilet and basin, and additional bathroom with a large bathtub, shower and basin. Perfect for soaking and rejuvenating those ski legs. You will also find the laundry area complete with BOSCH washing machine and separate BOSCH tumble dryer for your private use and storage for luggage.

WIFI & TV
Private fast fibre optic Wi-Fi. SMART 43” TV offers full streaming services including Netflix, Amazon Prime and Apple TV. Laptop friendly workspace allow you to carry on working as if you were at home.

BEDROOMS
3 bedrooms, comprising 1 double, 1 twin and 1 bunk bedroom. Beds have thick comfortable pocket sprung mattresses, Hungarian goose-down duvets and pillows and superfine Egyptian cotton bedding. Super-thick curtains to all areas incorporate black-out lining so you won’t be disturbed by early morning sun.

BATHROOMS & TOILETRIES
With 3 bathrooms, each bedroom can take their pick. 1 large bath, 3 showers, & 3 toilets. Complimentary toiletries provided in all bathrooms along with slippers and fluffy towels.

LAUNDRY
Fully equipped laundry area comprising BOSCH washing machine and separate BOSCH condensing tumble dryer, so you can even wash and dry your socks!

BALCONY / VIEWS
Large south facing main floor balcony with floor to ceiling picture windows offering spectacular mountain views over the pistes of Avoriaz.

SKI PASSES
We offer a special discount on Avoriaz and Portes du Soliel ski passes for our guests. What’s more, we will collect the passes for you and deliver them to the chalet prior to your arrival, allowing you to spend more time enjoying and less time organising.

SKI HIRE
We offer discounted ski hire and can arrange everything bespoke to your size and ability for you to simply collect from an excellent ski shop just 75 meters from the chalet.

FAMILIES & CHILDREN
We are family friendly. Children of all ages welcome. Baby cots, high chairs, changing mats available + selection of toys and games and family board games available on request.

PARKING
Secure car parking indoors or outdoors available (additional charge and reservation recommended).

Holiday Deposits and Final Payments:

When you make your booking, you must pay a deposit of 25% of the total holiday cost. The second payment of 75% is due 60 days before the date of the holiday. For bookings made within 60 days of arrival the initial payment will be 50% and for bookings made within 4 weeks of arrival the full 100% will be payable.

If the deposit and/or balances are not paid in time we shall be entitled, as agent for the owner/operator, to cancel your booking. If the balance is not paid in time your deposits paid will be forfeited.

Security Deposit Charge:

A security deposit is required to cover against breakage, loss or damage to the property and the furniture/contents and for any goods or services received which are not paid for. This will usually be taken as a pre-authorisation against a valid credit card on or prior to your arrival and, in most cases, no actual charge will be made.

The normal authorised amount is €1,000. Owners/operators reserve the right to increase the Security Deposit for groups under the age of 25 years or to take cash if the credit card is not valid.

In the case of retention, the owner/operator, through us, will explain the charge and the reason for it.  Any dispute in respect of any charges is solely between you and the relevant property owner/operator.

Insurance: 

We strongly recommend that you take out an insurance policy to cover cancellation and/or curtailment. Additionally, under French law you are required to be insured for third party liability, which will generally be included in any travel insurance. If you fail to make appropriate insurance arrangements in a timely manner, neither Chalets Marketing Limited nor the relevant property owner/operator will be liable for any losses or expenses which you may incur for claims which might normally have been covered by insurance in respect of circumstances for which we or the relevant property owner/operator are not responsible. 

Alteration or Cancellation of booking by you:

If you wish to vary your booking in any way, the relevant owner/operator will use reasonable endeavours to meet your request, but it may not always be possible. Requests for alterations must be made in writing by the person who made the booking. You may be charged for any further costs we or the relevant owner/operator may incur or are required to pay in making this alteration, for example if the new booking date is of a different value. 

If you alter any arrangements during your holiday (for example, checking out of the accommodation early) neither we nor the relevant owner/operator will be liable for any expenses you incur, nor will there be any obligation to refund any payment for unused accommodation or services.

If you or any member of your party wishes to cancel the holiday for any reason, the person who made the booking must inform us by letter or email. You will be charged cancellation fees by the owner/operator up to the maximum shown in the table below 

If you are prevented from taking your holiday you may be able to transfer your booking to someone who could have booked the holiday originally, subject to the approval of the relevant owner/operator and any other relevant suppliers. You must give reasonable notice before the check-in date to enable us to change the booking. A 250 Euro transfer fee will apply and you will also be charged for any further costs we or the relevant owner/operator are required to pay in making this alteration.
